Rainy Days

Oh no…..It’s Raining!!!!

As many weddings as I had shot, I had somehow come across all the luck in the world to have never had to shoot a wedding in the rain! There’s a saying I learned a while back
”piss poor preparation, promotes piss poor performance, and piss poor performance, pisses people off”. Not being properly prepared for a wedding can almost certainly lead to pissing off your couple. Thankfully for me, as I said above, I had all the luck in the world so that was not my outcome! So here a few things to keep in mind when it comes to planning for the weather.

1.      If you’re having an outdoor wedding find out what your venue’s alternate weather plan is. Does the space have somewhere that you can still take photos away from where your guests are?

2.      Cute couple’s umbrellas, yes please! They can add a cute touch to your photos.

3.      Hair emergency maintenance. Whether it’s hair pins, rollers, or a scarf make sure you have something to help preserve your wedding day hairstyle.

4.      Do it all in the same place! Choosing a venue that has a place for the wedding party to get ready is a HUGE bonus. It will help minimize how often you have to outside.

5.      The last and final tip, and it’s a big one, is EMBRACE IT! Of course no one wants rain on  their wedding day but why stress about the things you can’t control. Trust your photographer to be able to capture your day as gorgeous as ever no matter the situation! Orrrr just choose me and KNOW, I’ve got you covered!

XOXO,

OK that’s all for now! 👋🏾
